For musicians
At Musicians’ Hearing Services we have a first-hand understanding of the pressures of performance, the necessity of clarity during practice and performance and the importance of the on-going conservation of your hearing.
We also know the results of a lifetime of exposure to high levels of sound through music. Our audiologists will be able to help you to conserve your hearing and to equip you with the right tools and skills to enable you to continue making music at the highest levels for as long as you choose.
Our aim goes beyond simply testing your hearing, selling you a set of earplugs or in-ear monitors and sending you on your way. We will give you detailed advice specifically relevant to your instrument/s and genre – from symphonic music to rock and roll, from lead guitar to the oboe. We know, first hand, that each instrument has its own needs and risks – the problems experienced by an orchestral trumpet player are significantly different to those experienced by a jazz drummer, for instance. We will help devise the correct hearing conservation program for you – including advice and assistance to help reduce the risk of noise induced hearing loss in your own practice facilities.
Our services include:
